The Royal College of Midwives and the European Midwives Association (EMA) are hosting the fifth international education conference 'Midwifery Education for the 21st century – innovations in education, regulation and practice' 2016 on 2nd and 3rd December 2016 in London.

Informative, inspirational and motivating this year's conference will include presentations from across the UK, Europe and beyond to discuss key issues in midwifery education. The delivery of maternity care throughout the world requires highly skilled midwives whose practice is underpinned by a sound knowledge base, the possession of essential midwifery competencies and accountability for the wellbeing of mothers and babies.

The conference will highlight the challenges in the current provision of midwifery education and explore innovations in education and practice that can transform the learning experience of students and the quality of midwifery care provided to women and their families.
