Evaluation for Impact: 4-Day Institute

About

Begins November 30, 2017
10:30 am - 1:00 pm

What is the impact of our work? How do you measure success?

In our current economy, stakeholders are demanding evidence of impact and value for their investments. Many nonprofits do not know where to begin measuring impact, nor do they have staff trained and assigned to focus on evaluation.

This certificate program is designed to show you how to leverage evaluation methods for outcomes-based planning, measuring for impact, and systematically tracking your work in improving communities. This training series will help you build upon your individual and organizational strengths, providing you with an understanding for using evaluation thoughtfully, equipping you with concrete tools, implementation strategies, and how to use data to share your stories of community impact.

You will be better able to:

  • Develop and implement realistic and strategic evaluation plans where your team is on board
  • Use data to make informed decisions about program planning and allocating limited resources for greatest impact
  • Grasp fundamental evaluation language, models, and processes
  • Communicate about the impact of their efforts on individuals, families and communities
  • Develop data-driven narratives that will help clients, donors, and other stakeholders more clearly understand the value of their involvement and support

This program meets on the following days and times:

    • November 30, 2017 - 10:30am to 1:00pm
    • January 9, 2018 - 9:30am to 12:30pm
    • February 13, 2018 - 9:30am to 12:30pm
    • March 13, 2018 - 9:30am to 12:30pm

Each session will be hands-on, draw on real-life examples from participants, and incorporate group learning activities. Training participants will receive learning materials that include PowerPoints, worksheets, templates, exercises, articles and other resources.

Participants must attend all 4 sessions to be certificate eligible.
