Exelon Foundation STEM Leadership Academy - Philadelphia

We are closely monitoring the Covid-19 public health situation.  The 2021 Academy is being planned as an in person, on campus event but may be converted to a virtual event based on local health recommendations and requirements.

Considering a future career in science, technology, engineering, or math?  Want to know more about energy, sustainability, and climate change? Interested in improving your leadership skills?

The Exelon STEM Leadership Academy is a free, week-long program held at the Drexel University campus.  Learn from women working in STEM and business leaders. Visit energy facilities. Explore sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change.  Connect with like-minded peers.

Young women currently in 10^th or 11^th grade (class of 2022 and 2023) are invited to apply for the 2021 Exelon STEM Leadership Academy.

Successful applicants will spend the week housed at Drexel University attending educational sessions, improving leadership and professional skills, and tackling a weeklong group challenge.  Young women will have the opportunity to meet business and community leaders and converse with women currently working in STEM.

Eligibility:

• Young women currently in 10^th or 11^th grade (Class of 2022 or 2023)
• Young women live in PECO service area including: Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks county Pennsylvania. 

 Free to attend

• All participants will live on campus, supervised by STEM Academy mentors during the Academy.
• All meals will be provided during the Academy.
• All participants will receive an iPad to use during the Academy.
• All participants will receive t-shirts to wear during the Academy.
