We are pleased you decided to pursue graduate studies at Howard and we will do our part to ensure your time in residence is resourceful and productive.The first few days and weeks of your graduate student experience will be busy and potentially overwhelming. In an effort to expedite this transition, your attendance is expected at the Orientation for New Graduate Students on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm in the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library located on the main campus. During the workshop, you will meet the leadership of the Graduate School and interact with currently enrolled graduate students. Additionally, you will receive important information concerning registration, housing, financial support as well as the requirements governing the pursuit of master's and Ph.D. degrees. Moreover, participants will meet representatives from campus units that are essential to graduate student life at Howard.For your convenience and continued updates during the summer, visit the Graduate School's website at www.gs.howard.edu, click on the Retention Menu and select Orientation to view resources designed to assist with pre-arrival planning. In addition to the Orientation overview, on- and off-campus housing information, expository writing requirement for all new graduate students, and travel to campus details; we alert you to avoid registration holds by submitting your immunization record to the HU Student Health Center via fax at (202) 806-7416 and paying the $150 first-time enrollment fee.
