The BAPTG is a networking group of New England-based toxicologists and pathologists. Founded by Carl Alden and other toxicologists at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, the first meeting was held in 2004. The BAPTG now has almost 700 members based at companies in the general Boston area, as well as neighboring New England locations.
Dan Morton, a world renowned veterinary pathologist in the field of pharmaceutical safety assessment, was a longtime member of the BAPTG and contributed to content and growth of these meetings over several years. In addition to hosting the meeting on many occasions, Dan mentored and encouraged others to become active and vocal members of this community, bringing these forums to the rich scientific discussions they are today. Upon Dan’s passing in 2015, this meeting series was renamed in his honor.
This fall, our meeting will focus on unique antibody drug-conjugates and immune stimulants in the oncology therapeutic area. Committed speakers will be coming from industry and the US FDA.
