Diving Deeper into Your Writing!
Come join us for this year’s Weekend on the Water Writers’ Retreat, October 21 – 23, 2016, at Dumas Bay Centre.
This retreat is for those who have been working diligently on their writing and are looking to dive deeper.
What happens when you have written a story and you know something is missing, or you feel something is off? Or maybe you want this story to be different, stand up and shine like no other book or short story.
What writers crave are fresh eyes and new tools to tackle revision, go deeper, and make our stories stand out and shine.
We are ecstatic to have three outstanding faculty help us dive more deeply into our own stories: Editor Chelsea Eberly from Random House, Author Sarah Ellis, and Author Julie Larios.
· New this year! One of our faculty – either editor Chelsea Eberly from Random House or award-winning author Sarah Ellis – will give both written and verbal help with the first pages of your work.
· Sarah Ellis will be talking to us about nailing that middle grade voice and novel.
· Chelsea Eberly will talk about finding and fixing problems, first on our own and then with an editor.
· Julie Larios will open our eyes to the joys of experimenting with story structure.
In addition to excellent faculty and evening conversations with fellow writers, Weekend on the Water provides:
