Fall 2017 Advanced Mindfulness Programs


Beyond Stress Management: Building on the Foundation of Mindfulness (8-week program)

Take the next steps to enhance your mindfulness practice and learn to take full advantage of its potential. This 8-week advanced mindfulness program, developed and taught by Dr. Michael Baime, the founder of the Penn Program for Mindfulness, will deepen your understanding and provide you with new tools for managing stress and cultivating inner balance and peace. Join us for a closer investigation of mindfulness and how it helps us to grow and change. You can do so much more with mindfulness. Each week the class will explore a new topic, including: Letting go of reactivity; Cultivating stability; Working with emotions; Self-criticism; judgment, and self-compassion;  Communication; Empathy and Compassion; Mindfulness and Spirituality. 

Successful completion of our Foundation Mindfulness-based Stress Management program or its equivalent, or permission of the instructor, is required for participation
willingness to participate in interactive exercises. 

Requirements and Commitments
A commitment to a minimum of 30-minute daily mindfulness practice and a desire to apply mindfulness in real life situations is also required. It is your personal commitment that will give this experience its power.

1/2 Day Silent Intensive Retreat for Experienced Meditators 
Registration Deadline: December 10th

This intensive retreat will allow you to set aside the distractions and preoccupations of daily life, and more deeply settle into the present moment of your lived experience. Intensive practice is one of the most powerful ways to deepen and extend your path of mindfulness and meditation. We are excited to offer this opportunity to share the silence of practice within a supportive community. Abide in silence and stillness as you are guided in a variety of mindfulness practices during this 3-hour intensive. 

Pre-requisiteSome experience with mindfulness meditation is recommended (but not required) as this will not be an instructional session.However, you will not be restricted if you have no experience.
