Feast Portland 2017

Summary

About: Feast Portland is the flagship food and drink festival of Oregon, capturing the current energy and enthusiasm driving America’s food revolution. Feast Portland showcases local and national culinary talent and Pacific Northwest ingredients alongside internationally recognized chefs, culinary professionals and industry leaders.

This year, Washington State Wine will return as a Platinum Sponsor with a number of opportunities that will allow you to promote your brand and share the Washington State story with key influencers.

Dates: Thursday, September 14, 2017 – Saturday, September 17, 2017

Location: Various venues in Portland, OR

Registration: Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Wineries will be limited to one event per brand in 2017 to allow for more Washington State wineries to be featured. Please see individual event descriptions for details on wine submissions and registration fees. Please be sure to make note of the time and locations of the events as there may be some overlap.

Wine: All wine for the Sandwich Invitational, Oregon Bounty Tastings, Night Market and Smoked! will need to be brought with you or delivered to the event beforehand. If you are participating in the Closing Night Party you will receive wine shipping information after you have registered. We will not consolidate wine at TMS for any of the events.

SANDWICH INVITATIONAL presented by the Portland Trail Blazers

Expect a high-flying affair where featured chefs put some twists on the classic definition of “sandwich”. Libations will include cocktails, exceptional craft brews and fine wines. Guests will join the panel of esteemed judges in voting for their favorite creation.

  • Location: Rose Quarter Commons
  • Capacity: 3 brands 
  • Representatives: Winery representation is required. Each registered winery is allowed to have two (2) representatives.
  • Wine: Each winery is allowed to pour up to four (4) wines. We suggest 4-6 bottles of each wine. Two or three cases in total is plenty.
  • Setup: Each winery will receive 4 feet of table space, linens, signage, stemware, spit buckets, ice, ice bins & water.
  • Registration fee: $200

OREGON BOUNTY GRAND TASTING: FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Taking over a full block in the heart of downtown Portland, Pioneer Courthouse Square, it is transformed into a veritable mosh pit of amazing food, drink and discovery. The Grand Tasting is Feast’s largest tasting event, where you’ll find your favorites side by side with those who’ll define tomorrow’s taste trends.

  • Date: Friday & Saturday, September 15-16, 2017
  • Location: Pioneer Courthouse Square
  • Capacity: 3 brands per day
  • Representatives: Winery representation is required. Each registered winery is allowed to have two (2) representatives.
  • Wine: Each winery is allowed to pour up to four (4) wines. We suggest 4-6 bottles of each wine. Two or three cases in total is plenty.
  • Setup: Each winery will receive 4 feet of table space, linens, signage, stemware, spit buckets, ice, ice bins & water.
  • Registration fee: $250

NIGHT MARKET

Come see what makes this America’s favorite Night Market event. Outside under the stars, in view of Portland’s downtown skyline and colorful Tillikum Crossing. This high-energy, Latin-themed event is lit by festive stringed lights, warmed by the collective buzz of where to eat next, with food cooked by over 20 standout chefs from coast to coast. It’s a taste of Latin America, Spain and more right here on the banks of the Willamette.

  • Location: Zidell Yards
  • Capacity: 3 brands 
  • Representatives: Winery representation is required. Each registered winery is allowed to have two (2) representatives.
  • Wine: Each winery is allowed to pour up to three (3) wines. We suggest 4-6 bottles of each wine. Two or three cases in total is plenty.

SMOKED!

Feast’s over-the-top take on the backyard cookout of your wildest imagination. It all goes down at The Fields in the Pearl District, where there’s grass under your feet and the iconic Fremont Bridge providing the backdrop. It’s every carnivore’s smoky dream.

  • Representatives: Winery representation is required. Each registered winery is allowed to have two (2) representatives

FEAST PORTLAND OFFICIAL CLOSING PARTY

Back by popular demand, Washington State Wine will be teaming up with Eater.com as the official closing night party sponsor. With more than 150 credentialed media, plus chefs from every major first-tier American market as well as key industry professionals from around the nation. Each party hosts up to 400+ members of the trade and media from Feast Portland's events in a fun & laid-back environment.

  • Date: Saturday, September 16, 2017
  • Location: TBD
  • Format: The evening will consist of three (3) wine pouring stations and food provided by local restaurants/purveyors and entertainment. 
  • Pouring Stations: There will be pouring stations setup throughout the venue which will be staffed by knowledgeable venue staff. We know that the month of September can be a hectic with harvest so we would like to give wineries the opportunity to submit wines to be poured at the event without representation. We hope to have two wine stations: Red, and White/Sparkling/Rosé.
  • Registration fee: $150
  • Wine Quantity: 3 bottles of each wine. You may submit up to (2) wines per pouring station. Please make sure to send a tech sheet/tasting notes with your wine.
  • Winery Representation: No representation, wines will just be shipped to or dropped off at the venue. Winery representatives are welcome and encouraged to attend the party. Ticket inquiries can be directed to Thomas Bobson at tbobson@washingtonwine.org.
