The second annual RNA Upstate New York conference, hosted by the University of Rochester Center for RNA Biology and the Hudson Valley RNA Club, will be held on October 25-26, 2013 at the Inn on the Lake, Canandaigua, New York, in the scenic Finger Lakes region. The conference will feature oral and poster presentations highlighting current work on a wide range of topics including cutting-edge computational, structural and biochemical approaches to key topics in RNA structure, RNA catalysis, RNA-protein interactions, RNA interference, and RNA genomics.
The program includes Keynote Lectures by Nahum Sonenberg (McGill University), Marlene Belfort (State University of New York at Albany), Phillip Bevilacqua (Pennsylvania State University, University Park) and Ailong Ke (Cornell University). Additional speakers will be selected from submitted abstracts. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are especially encouraged to submit abstracts.
A limited number of student and post-doctoral fellows selected as speakers will have their on-site costs paid. Women, under-represented minorities, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply for speaking opportunities. If you have questions regarding this, please contact Brenda Klein.
