FitEx is the name ExerciseNZ uses for its annual conference held each year to enhance the knowledge of New Zealand’s exercise and wellness professionals.

Privacy Policy

PRIVACY AT THE EVENT

FitEx and the organisers, ExerciseNZ respect your privacy and will not hand over details (your name, contact details or any other information provided as part of your booking process) unless it has been specifically authorised by you, or is specifically outlined below.

To enable the event to function normally the following disclosure is made about how FitEx/ExerciseNZ may use your images and/or information and feedback you provide:

FitEx may use images or videos of individuals attending sessions and/or at the event, for future promotion. Attendance at the event gives permission to use your image for the future marketing of the FitEx event (We will ensure images used are not embarrassing to any individuals).
Any other organisation wishing to use images from the event that include participants that can be identified will first obtain the permission of these participants.
Any feedback you give on presenters or sessions is anonymous.
Your attendance at FitEx will be passed on to the NZ Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) for the purposes of CPD point allocation.
If your attendance was paid for by a third party we may pass information on to them about your attendance.

Information that is gathered from visitors to this website

In common with other websites, log files may be stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor's IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.

Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website.

How the Information is used

The information is used to enhance the visitor's experience when using the website to display personalized content and possibly advertising.

E-mail addresses will not be sold, rented or leased to 3rd parties.

Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. Also they may be used to track your return visits to the website.

Refund Policy

Refunds are not issued except in the highly unlikely event that the conference does not go ahead (in such cases a full refund will be given). Under any other circumstances, including change of mind/circumstances or for unused bookings, refunds are not issued.

We reserve the right to alter this policy for any event, or to provide multiple refund policies for the same event. Any variation from the above stated policy must be clearly indicated at the time event registration occurs, and the policy above shall be deemed applicable in the absence of any other notification.

Transfer Policy

Any bookings made for the conference may be transferred to another person subject to the following conditions:

Transfers may be made up until 27th October 2017 (a month before the event) without charge.
Persons being transferred to must meet the criteria of any special discount offered for the initial booking. So if the initial booking was made using a REPs registered rate, then the person being transferred to must be REPs registered, OR the new person pays the difference in cost.
In the case of clubs booking for multiple persons, they can nominate how many bookings they would like for REPs registered individuals, and how many for non registered, but as above, any persons being nominated later must meet the criteria of the type of booking they have paid for, or pay the difference.
Transfers between 27th October and 10th November are possible, subject to first paying a $50 + GST transfer fee per transfer.
Transfers after 10th November 2017 attract a $100 + GST transfer fee.
Transfers must be arranged via email info@fitex.co.nz and will be confirmed once payment of any applicable transfer is made. The person who initially booked must email us with a transfer request.

Shipping and Delivery Policy

We do not sell any physical goods or services. All purchases made through our website or associated systems for membership or events shall be delivered virtually. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide an immediate confirmation of all purchases. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. We protect secure data with industry-standard firewall and password protection systems. We periodically review and improve our security and privacy policies as necessary. Only pre-authorized individuals have access to our servers and information provided by our users.

We will not disclose or share personal information collected on our website with any third party, except as required by law and/or pursuant to a governmental request, or as necessary to provide services to support its software solutions. We will never use information collected for any purposes other than those specifically designated.
