Ethical challenges facing health professionals have never been more important or more numerous. This program emphasizes themes ethics and health information technology, the right to health care, transforming health care for veterans, health care fraud, corruption and swindle, genetics in the hospital. It is clear that bioethics –and bioethics education – must be assigned the greatest possible roles in the daily lives of individual professionals and their institutions.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
Understand, appreciate and contribute to debates about health care policy, including the role of veterans’ health.
Contribute to public awareness of health business corruption and support compliance efforts.
Identify ethical issues in biomedical informatics and contribute to related policy development.
Participate in hospital genetics practice and policy development.
Appreciate and support community collaboration on bioethics.
This course is designed for physicians, lawyers, nurses, social workers, clergy, psychologists, health administrators, philosophers and others with an interest or a need for continuing education in health ethics.

Conference registration tuition refunds will be made only if written notice of cancellation is received prior to March 24, 2017. After this date, no refunds will be made and the unused tuition will be used to support students. In cases where an entire course is cancelled for insufficient registration, a full refund will be made.
