This one day workshop provides an opportunity for managers and leaders to deepen their knowledge and build their capacity around culturally inclusive service provision. It highlights examples of good practice and demonstrates how these practices can be measured against the Accreditation and Home Care Standards. Participants will explore ways to plan and implement strategies that reflect a culturally inclusive approach in order to enhance outcomes at an individual level and create lasting change at an organisational level.
At this workshop you will reflect on and learn about:
cultural diversity within the community you serve
organisational responses to cultural diversity
good practice goals which aim to achieve equity for consumers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
linking these practices to the Accreditation and Home Care Standards
tools and resources which can assist in developing a culturally inclusive approach
