FSMA Workshop: Assessing the Hazard Analysis:
Update, Review and Reanalysis

June 7, 2017 - 9:00am - 2:30pm

There has been a significant amount of new information released in FDA Guidance since the early days following the final rule that should be reviewed and used in the hazard analysis. This workshop focuses on preventive controls requirements for identifying and evaluating hazards for the hazard analysis from the FDA Guidance document. It provides tools, tips and techniques for creating, assessing, reviewing and updating the hazard analysis. It provides a detailed review of the combined recommendations from FSPCA and the FDA Guidance documents relevant to preventive controls and introduces additional format templates for the hazard analysis. Using case studies and group activities, various approaches to documenting the hazard analysis will be demonstrated. A portion of the afternoon session will be devoted to addressing specific attendee examples for practical takeaways.

Who should take this Workshop?

For many, the time is quickly slipping away to the September 2017 deadline. For those that have already completed Food Safety Plans, these materials will provide a comprehensive review to prepare for the initial reanalysis. For those in the auditing community, this workshop provides an in-depth review of the various compliant hazard analysis approaches needed to audit preventive controls based programs.
