The meeting will be a “practitioners workshop” to discuss issues, challenges and approaches to knowledge management in licensed nuclear facilities. Specific emphasis will be on sharing lessons learned and best practices on KM at any stage of the nuclear facility life-cycle (i.e. from conceptual design to decommissioning). Participants will be expected to prepare and make formal presentations to highlight specific relevant experiences and approaches in this area. Who should attend:The meeting is open to EPRI members, EPRI’s specific invited guests, and approved technical experts. Members are invited to nominate appropriate senior technical experts to share their direct experience, lessons learned and best practices related to the topics of the meeting. Senior technical or program leaders or managers from nuclear design organizations, national nuclear regulators, nuclear utility or facility operators, and research reactor organizations who are directly involved in practical aspects or solutions related to knowledge management in licensed nuclear facilities. Select representatives from leading nuclear software providers who offer specialized solutions in this area may also be approved to accompany meeting participants on a case-by-case basis, provided evidence that specific, relevant and innovative project technology implementation experiences at nuclear facilities can be shared.
