Friday Exchange – Strategic & Marketing Plans

Summary

Friday Exchange is something new for SMPS Philadelphia.  There will be four sessions this year led by experts in the topic to be discussed.  Attendees can submit questions or ideas related to the topic beforehand or the morning of.  The hope is that a real discussion will take place and ideas will flow freely.   Notes from the meeting will be distributed to all attendees.

At the first session, discuss what firms are doing to develop their strategy, set themselves apart, and grow their practice.  Via a discussion led by Bill Long, learn how firms are utilizing market research to develop strategy, developing competitive advantages to uniquely sell their services, and establishing criteria to select target clients that can all be combined to take your company to the next level.

Topics will include:

  • Components of an effective strategic planning process
  • Market research via environmental scanning
  • Developing firm differentiators
