As required by the Food Safety Modernization Act, food establishments registered with the FDA are required to develop and implement Food Safety Plans. Food Safety plans includes both the hazard analysis and preventive controls for any potential hazards identified.
In this workshop, instructors will review the key components of FSMA Food Safety Plans while participants analyze their own facility’s food safety plan. Participants will be allowed to present generic versions of their plans and gather input on any questions they may have. Participants from each company are asked to bring a generalized version of their Food Safety Plan. It may be helpful for facilities to send more than one team member.
Who Should Attend – This course is designed for those individuals who have obtained PCQI status or are working with a PCQI to develop their facility’s Food Safety Plan.
