The major airport for travelers coming to Santa Fe and Los Alamos is Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ), located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Albuquerque is about 60 miles south of Santa Fe, 100 miles south of Los Alamos. The airport has car rental facilities and a shuttle terminal. Santa Fe has a small municipal airport (SAF). Railrunner Train: Schedules The Railrunner runs from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. There are free buses to take you from the Albuquerque Airport to the train station and then from the Santa Fe train station to local hotels. You are welcome to stay at other hotels but will need to work out your transportation. There are additional hotels in downtown Santa Fe, as well as Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino in Pojoaque, NM. This is about half way between Santa Fe and Los Alamos. There are also a few hotels in Los Alamos. We have not worked out any special arrangements with these hotels.
