The Garden & Landscape Symposium of Western Pennsylvania showcases internationally renowned horticulture experts in a daylong educational event attracting more than 300 attendees.

The Garden Marketplace offers attendees, as well as the general public, the opportunity to shop for new and unique plants and garden accessories from local nurseries and businesses. The Marketplace runs concurrently in the ice skating rink, just across the street from the Hillman Center. The Marketplace has become a very popular draw for garden enthusiasts, and because it is free and open to the public, it draws many shoppers from across the area. The Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania hosts the annual Daffodil Show, featuring the region's best blooms, and invites anyone growing daffodils to enter them for judging.

The Symposium qualifies for 4.5 or 5.5 ASLA credits, 4.5 or 5.5 Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) credits, and 4.5 or 5.5 Continuing Education hours for Penn State Master Gardeners.
