Gateway to Debriefing with Good Judgment Workshop

The Center for Medical Simulation’s Gateway Debriefing Skills Workshop introduces healthcare education faculty to the foundational practices of the Debriefing with Good Judgment© method of debriefing. This innovative workshop combines an immersive, daylong, in-person learning experience with supplemental online learning that includes customized peer-to-peer and mentor feedback. It provides an opportunity to learn how to set high standards while holding high regard for the learner, to treat learners as thinkers and not just as doers as well as develop skills to efficiently improve future performance. Connections are made to a community of colleagues where you can continually develop and improve your debriefing, feedback and clinical teaching skills. A lead CMS faculty member and a team of talented educators will facilitate the workshop. There is a limit of 50 attendees for this workshop.

This workshop will be led by Mary K. Fey, PhD, RN, CHSE-A.

The Center for Medical Simulation does not offer continuing education credits for this workshop.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.

This workshop is made possible, in part by, the generous support of the The James M. Johnston Trust.
