You are invited to join a discussion about co-creating collaborative and effective evaluation to improve tribal programs, and to help these programs take credit for the successes they achieve. Logic modeling and evaluation are central to this process.Logic models are used in diverse programs to diagram their common elements, showing what a program is supposed to accomplish with what resources and activities, and why it is expected to work. Evaluation is a powerful set of measurement and assessment activities conducted to provide useful information to program staff, managers, and other stakeholders. In this workshop, the basic concepts and vocabulary associated with evaluation research will be explained in practical terms.Participants will gain hands-on experience developing their own logic models and planning specific measurement and assessment activities to identify their program’s strengths and weaknesses and to prepare for more intensive evaluation.Starting from where you are, we will work together to build the skills to:• Clearly identify and measure the change you see your clients making• Communicate with tribal leadership, funders, and other stakeholders about your accomplishments and resource needs.• Improve your program by identifying its strengths and weaknesses• Tell your story to donors, the media, and to your professional peers.
