SUMMIT VIRTUAL DAYS

Many times we attend a conference and wish we would have had a little more information about the topic we are learning before we attend a session.

Other times we attend a conference, gather a lot of great ideas, but get back to the office and struggle with time to plan to implement these ideas.

We have designed virtual days to:

  • Present background information on the ideas we will be sharing at the Summit, and giving you plenty of time to learn about these ideas before the on-site day.
  • Allow you to spend the day of the Summit planning for changes, collaborations, capacity building, connecting to the community needs and sharing your ideas with our region’s leading experts.

The Virtual Days information can be accessed by clicking on the links below and by scheduling and attending a live webinar.  These topics include information on:

  • United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Social Determinants of Health.
  • Collective Impact.
  • Community-Based Participatory Research.
  • Cross Sector Collaboration.
  • Change Strategy; Change Management.
  • Data Collection Local, State or Federal Public Policy Issues, such as the Family First Act.

Thoughts on Warm Data

"I think one of the biggest shifts in my thinking thanks to the warm data lab has been around the nature of technology. I used to believe that it was inherently neutral, but I now see that line of reasoning as naïve.  A technology does not exist independently from its contexts. And these contexts are part of complex systems.  So it’s very clear to me now that we need to think hard about whether certain technologies should ever be built and/or released." -- David Jones, Executive Producer, Principal Program Manager, Microsoft Envisioning.

"And, at another end of the spectrum...Nora Bateson did a warm data session with 36 mental health patients in Melbourne, and they were so excited about it they are writing papers! The patients!"
