Students
Student registration is $250 and closes August 22.
We encourage students to attend this workshop. In addition, the sponsors will cover 50% of the housing cost for students at the meeting hotel for up to 5 nights. Students may opt to share rooms to further reduce their costs. All students must present either an oral talk (if chosen) or a poster presentation.
Guests
Guests are welcome to join attendees for lunches and breaks, but they must be registered. Guest registration is $100. All guests are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception Monday evening with or without registering and attendees may purchase dinner tickets for guests as well.
We will be providing transportation from the hotel to downtown Palm Springs on Thursday night for the weekly celebration VillageFest a Palm Springs Street Fair.
A wonderful evening has been planned to celebrate the accomplishments of ALMA thus far. Join us for our conference dinner on Tuesday, September 20 in the Pavilion at the Indian Wells Gold Resort. This delightful meal will kick off the first night of the conference by taking advantage of the spectacular evenings late summer in the Coachella Valley offers. It promises to be worth every penny.
Located just adjacent to and within easy walking distance from the Renaissance Hotel, enjoy drinks and dinner overlooking the Indian Wells Golf Resort. You won't want to miss this incredible evening with colleagues.
General Attendees and Guests are $70. Students are $30.
Plan to stay an extra day in the Valley to explore some of it's wonderful treasures. Several optional tours have been planned for Saturday morning, September 24. Those who are staying for additional meetings will have plenty of time to participate in a tour and not miss any of the planned events on Saturday afternoon.
San Andreas Fault Jeep Eco-Tour

Notes: This entire tour is on open-air jeeps with canvas roofs. You will have opportunity to get out and walk around. It can get hot. Wear closed toe walking shoes, sunscreen, hats and bring water (additional water will be available). It can also get dusty as a large portion of it is on dirt roads. Dress appropriately.
Palm Springs City & Celebrity Home Tour
Since the 1920s, Palm Springs has been the playground for Hollywood's elite. To this day, just the mention of Palm Springs evokes images of Tinseltown's biggest stars laying in the warm desert sunshine sipping cocktails by the pools of their private estates.
Desert Adventures' Palm Springs City & Celebrity Home Tour reveals what went on behind the walls of those estates to see and hear how Palm Springs became the town of choice when Hollywood needed to let its hair down. From Sinatra and his Rat Pack to Liz Taylor and Lily Tomlin. Cher to Marilyn Monroe to Liberace, the sizzle and scandal that defined the Hollywood scene in the Coachella Valley will be revealed. With a liberal dose of star gossip, mid-century architecture and pop culture, this tour is sure to keep you fascinated and entertained!

Notes: The entire tour will be from an air-conditioned bus.
Registration Refunds
All cancellations and refunds must be made on or before to August 22, 2016 and will incur a 10% refund fee per transaction.

Excursion Refunds
All cancellations and refunds must be made on or before September 14, 2016. There will be a $5 refund fee for the Celebrity tour and a $10 refund fee for the Jeep tour.
No refunds will be issued after that time.
Travel Grants Available
The organizers have created a modest fund to help with expenses for those who may need travel support. If you need financial assistance in order to attend the meeting, please email Karen Ransom with your name, affiliation, and approximate financial need. The organizers will review requests received by July 1, 2016 and will notify recipients of travel awards by July 15.
Student Support
All students will be offered 50% of their hotel costs for up to 5 nights in addition to discounted registration fees. Advisor contact information is required and you must give an oral (if chosen) or poster presentation. If additional support is needed, please apply for travel grant funds as listed above.

Please include your name, address, affiliation and nationality along with any other information you need included on your letter of invitation.
