This training aims to help public health professionals recognize their vulnerabilities to stress, teaches them methods for managing workplace stress, and provides tips and techniques for recharging their emotional batteries to prevent burnout.  It includes techniques for maintaining quality service when client/patients are unhappy or angry.

At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify signs and symptoms of stress, compassion fatigue and burnout
  2. Explain techniques for coping with stress to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.
  3. Describe specific approaches for dealing with difficult or angry clients.
