HealthRHYTHMS Basic Training teaches a fun, evidence-based whole person strategy which promotes socialization and ensures a healthy non-strenuous workout. On a deeper level it builds bridges while fostering nurturing, support, camaraderie, self-respect and respect for others. It is not really about drumming, but uses the drum as a tool for communication and personal expression. This system can be integrated as a therapeutic strategy in group counseling sessions, support groups, rehabilitation centers, schools, hospitals, aging facilities and more.
HealthRHYTHMS Adolescent Protocol Training teaches licensed professional counselors, social workers, juvenile justice professionals, drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinicians and caring individuals partnering with them, to facilitate 6 or 12 week HealthRHYTHMS Drumming Programs for interventional work with at-risk populations. The HealthRHYTHMS Adolescent Protocol Research is the foundation of our HealthRHYTHMS Adolescent Protocol. Building on the strategies comprising the HealthRHYTHMS Protocol, the Adolescent Protocol is a curriculum-based program delivered in 6 or 12 weekly sessions integrating counseling strategies to facilitate communication, personal expression and behavior modification. Though researched specifically with adolescents the program is adaptable and has also demonstrated significant promise for work with adults facing the challenges of drug and alcohol addiction recovery.
