Question: 1. Abstract Submission

a. What is the abstract submission deadline?
Answer: The deadline is December 5th, 2017 for consideration for an oral or poster presentation, and inclusion in our special issue of Molecular Genetics and Metabolism
Question: b. Will late breaking abstracts be accepted?
Answer: There will be no late breaking abstracts at this meeting.
Question: c. When will I be notified if my abstract is accepted?
Answer: The corresponding author listed on the abstract submission form will be notified on December 11th, 2017.
Question: d. Where can I obtain the abstracts if I am not attending the conference?
Answer: Abstracts will be available in a special issue of Molecular Genetics and Metabolism. The anticipated print date of this issue is October, 2018
Question: e. Does the conference offer travel support?
Answer: There are ten (10) travel awards available for Trainees (junior investigators, pre- and post-docs, med students, etc.). Trainees who submit an abstract as the first author will automatically be considered for a travel award. Travel award notifications will be emailed on December 11th, 2017.
Question: f. Should I wait to hear about travel award winners before registering for the conference?
Answer: NO, you should register for the conference and book your hotel room as soon as possible.
Question: 2. Hotel Reservations

a. I would like to extend my stay past the conference, can I do this?
Answer: The special rate is available for three day prior to and after the meeting, depending on availability at the hotel.
Question: b. The room block is full, what do I do?
Answer: If the room block is full you must make a hotel reservation on your own and at the standard rate.
Question: 3. Oral presentations

a. My abstract was selected for an oral presentation; do I also need to prepare a poster?
Answer: No, posters are not required if your abstract was selected for an oral presentation.
Question: b. Do I need to submit my presentation ahead of time?
Answer: Yes, attendees whose abstracts are selected for oral presentation must send their slides to by January 5th, 2018. Note this is different than the deadline for invited speakers. Invited speakers must send their slides for review by December 22nd, 2017.

Question: c. Do I need to include a disclosures slide?
Answer: Yes, this should be the second slide.
Question: d. Do I have to pay for my own registration and hotel?
Answer: Yes, you are responsible for all your own expenses including registration, hotel, travel, etc. If you are selected for a Trainee Travel Award this will only be given out after the meeting.

Question: 4. Poster presentations

a. What is the poster size?
Answer: 34 inches wide (86.36cm) by 44 inches high (111.76cm) is the maximum size.
Question: b. Do I need to bring my own push pins to hang the poster?
Answer: No, these will be provided.
Question: c. Can I ship my poster to the hotel?
Answer: Yes, please use the following address:

Answer: Posters must be removed by lunch time on the last day of the conference, Sunday January 14th, 2018.

a. Can I take pictures during the presentations?
Answer: NO, this is strictly prohibited.
Question: b. Can I take pictures of posters?
Answer: This is allowed only with the express permission of the owner.
