The Foundation’s Office of Education and Meetings possesses the capacity to handle all conference and meeting planning requirements, including venue contract negotiations, vendor solicitation and management, registration, meeting logistics, event websites, travel arrangements, abstracts, entertainment, financial reconciliation and onsite support. In addition, the Office of Education and Meetings frequently partners with other HJF internal departments including Travel and Graphics, providing a “one stop shop” for our clients’ needs, including but not limited to: domestic and international hotel and airfare reservations, design and production of meeting signage, promotional materials, abstract books, program agendas, and scientific posters.
The Foundation’s conference managers use industry best-practice strategies designed to manage workflow in a timely, accurate and cost-efficient manner. In all phases of the planning process, we attempt to account for every contingency in order to mitigate, or eliminate, as many risks as possible in advance. The complete success of your event is our highest priority.
As the premier industry certification, the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation distinguishes individuals as career professionals who have demonstrated a high level of experience, skill and knowledge. In order to achieve the designation, CMPs must possess relevant and measurable experience as a meeting planner and complete a rigorous application and examination process. The designation conveys the credibility of the professional, both at work and in the greater meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry.
The Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) designation is designed for planners and suppliers whose work is governed by the rules and regulations of the federal government. Individuals who have earned their CGMP have obtained the highest designation available that is specifically for government meeting professionals. By earning the CGMP designation, meeting professionals have demonstrated their commitment to enhancing their government expertise and gaining a clear and thorough understanding of the rules and regulations that affect government meetings, thereby improving the quality of client meetings.
