Questions & Answers

Answer: The CIO Summit is an invitation-only event. To receive an invitation, you must hold the title of CIO or direct technology activities at a major hotel, casino, cruise line, management or timeshare company.  ** If you received an invitation and can’t attend, you CAN'T send anyone else. Our invitation list includes the who's who of the industry. And although we want the Summit to grow, we will never compromise quality for quantity. Unprecedented peer-to-peer networking has proven to be an integral part of the conference.

Second Attendee for Brands. Due to the continued growth of the management companies attending the CIO Summit, brands are allowed to have a second representative--VP level or higher--join their CIO.

If you would like to qualify for an invitation to the Summit or have any questions regarding a second brand representative, please contact Hospitality Upgrade President/Publisher Richard Siegel rich@hospitalityupgrade.com

Question: ATTENDANCE AND REGISTRATION: How much does it cost?

There is no registration fee to attend the Summit. Attendees are only responsible for transportation and lodging costs. All other costs are covered by our sponsors, including: registration fees, receptions, meals, offsite events, pre-conference outing fees, airport arrival transfers and private shuttle service at the conference's conclusion.

Question: ATTENDANCE AND REGISTRATION. Is there a spouse/guest program?
Answer: Yes! If you are bringing a spouse/significant other to the 2017 CIO Summit, please register him/her for the 2017 Spouse Program. Spouses can register to attend all cocktail and dinner events on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday free of charge. We will also include your spouse/significant other in your arrival limo transfer and shuttle back to the airport on Friday, September 8, if desired.
Question: ATTENDANCE AND REGISTRATION. What is the cancellation policy?
Answer: Room reservation cancellations. Cancellations received 24 hours before the date of your arrival by 6pm local hotel time will be without penalties.

Conference attendance cancellations. Please notify Event Manager Charlotte Somers of an attendance cancellation before Thursday, August 31 so we can plan accordingly. Our meals and events are assigned seating and arrangements must be made for your absence. Call or text 214-436-6789 or e-mail.
Question: DRESS. What is the conference dress?

Average September weather in Denver, Colorado is a high of 81 degrees and a low of 48 degrees. **Dress for the entire conference is casual.

Question: SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: Will there be plenty of opportunities to network?
Answer: The Summit offers CIOs a rare combination of networking, social events and program. Attendees are free to form critical relationships with their peers in a relaxed environment. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet your peers whether it is at the sit-down dinners or interactive sessions (where we specifically circulate you to have an opportunity to sit with all attendees), at the cocktail receptions, during the icebreakers and networking activities or during the pre-conference outing (where teams are pre-assigned). Seating is assigned at each of our events to encourage interaction.
Question: SPONSORSHIPS: Just how many sponsors are we talking about?

The CIO Summit is not a commercial endeavor, but a high level meeting for CIOs from around the world--there are a limited number of sponsorships. We do not allow any formal sponsor presentations or sales pitches, but we will allow the sponsors to briefly welcome the attendees to the Summit and join us at conference events and functions. Again, this will not be a sales conference, but a closed-door conference for CIOs to discuss the issues at hand without interruption or unsolicited information.

Question: TRANSPORTATION: How do I book a free arrival limo transfer?

The fastest way from Denver International Airport (DEN) to the Kimpton Hotel Born depending on your arrival time is Denver's new A Line which goes from DEN directly to Union Station, located right behind the Kimpton. The train makes 6 stops and takes 37 minutes for $9. If you don't wish to take the train, Hospitality Upgrade will be offering complimentary limo transfers from DEN to the Kimpton. To take advantage of this service, please click here to e-mail your itinerary (arrival date, flight number, airline, arrival time, and your cell number in case the driver needs to locate you) to Charlotte Somers by August 25, 2017.
