What is a hypertufa container?

Hypertufa is a durable, cement-like mixture made from Portland cement, potting soil, and perlite that can be formed into round or rectangular containers for plants. Hypertufa containers have a unique, hand-cast look and are perfect for growing dwarf containers, herbs, alpine plants, and succulents in the garden.

This is a fun and creative activity, but it's dirty, so be sure to wear old clothing and bring heavy rubber gloves.
