IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017 Open Call for Presentation

IAAPA is now accepting proposals to present a seminar at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017 Education Conference Program. The IAAPA Attractions Expo is the world’s largest gathering of amusement and attractions professionals.

The Education Conference Program is the major platform in the amusement industry for sharing ideas, exploring new concepts and introducing attendees to the latest knowledge, trends, technology and best practices in the attractions business.

Conference: November 13-17, 2017        
Trade Show: November 14-17, 2017 

  • Read and accept speaker guidelines.
  • Complete and submit the online Call for Presentations Form. Please be sure to:
    • Designate a Session Coordinator. For Proposals that include multiple speakers, this will be the primary contact person responsible for managing all details of this session and meeting all IAAPA deadlines. This is the person IAAPA and committee members will contact initially with any questions and regarding the status of the proposal in the final slate of programs for 2017.
    • Provide a detailed outline of the session that includes all the key learning points and objectives.
    • Provide a synopsis of the session that would be adapted or included in marketing materials
    • Provide complete contact information for all speakers. IAAPA requires current title/position and company information for session promotion purposes and complete mailing address, phone number, and a unique email address for every speaker in order to provide complimentary Expo registration.
  • Review & verify all information before submitting an entry as information you submit may be published and used in marketing materials.
  • Submit the proposal by December 31, 2016.
  • All proposals will be acknowledged with an email confirmation and summary of your submission. Proposals will be reviewed by June 2017.

  • The Call for Presentation is comprised of two phases:

    1. Open call for all non-IAAPA committee or subcommittee member. Please use this system to submit a proposal. Submission deadline is January 6.

    2. IAAPA committee and sub-committee members select open call proposals. This submission phase will begin in mid-January. Committees and subcommittees will receive a notification once this phase for their proposal submission is open.

    • Carefully review each tab on the left to ensure that your proposal best meets the current needs and objectives of the Education Conference Program.  

    • Ensure your proposal demonstrates educational value for one or more of the IAAPA target audience(s).

    • Provide a detailed outline of the session that includes all the key learning points and objectives.

    • Provide a session description of the session that would be adapted or included in marketing materials.

    • Submit the proposal by January 6, 2017. You may edit or update your proposal up until this date using the confirmation number and weblink in your confirmation email.


    All completed proposals will be reviewed by a group of IAAPA members and submitters will be notified by June 2017.
