Delivering Transformational Reform Together
“ICT is the biggest, heaviest golden key to offering efficiency and effectiveness to policing”
HMCIC Sir Tom Winsor, Suppliers’ ICT Summit, 2016
We are delighted to invite you to our second Police ICT Summit, which this year is hosted jointly by The Police ICT Company and the National Police Technology Council.
Building on the fantastic success of our first Suppliers’ Summit in January 2016, where our focus was on “Shaping the future: smarter working together and partnering to deliver reform”, this year we are bringing together senior stakeholders from Policing, the Home Office, the College of Policing and other policing bodies, as well as key partners from industry – present and future – to look at what we are doing, together, to deliver transformational reform.
Given the demand for places at our first ICT Summit, and to allow proper focus on the scale and complexity of the challenges we all face, this year we have extended the event to two days.
The Summit will offer the opportunity for delegates to hear from senior officers in Policing, across Government and industry, about what they see as the challenges and opportunities in the delivery of truly transformational ICT. Speaking at our Suppliers’ Summit in January, the Home Secretary was very clear that improved ICT should be the driver for this transformation.
“Millions, if not billions of savings. Thousands of police officer hours saved. Untold crimes solved and victims satisfied. And all by getting the fundamentals – ICT – right.”
Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP, Home Secretary, Suppliers’ Summit, January 2016
The Summit will also be truly unique in its focus on technology and will provide many opportunities for meaningful discussions and the exchange of ideas between policing practitioners and those working in the most innovative areas of the ICT industry. There will be a small EXPO, with a number of partners who will also provide workshop opportunities throughout the event. In addition, there will be an Innovation Centre, where smaller organisations can showcase those products which most closely support reform and transformation.
As we expect demand to again outstrip the number of places available, we would urge you to sign up for the event at the earliest opportunity.
