IDC and Cognizant are delighted to invite you to a Dinner and Discussion on the 26th April in the exclusive setting of The Groucho Club in London. This invitation-only dinner will bring together a select group of key executives from the UK consumer products and retail industry to engage in a thought-provoking debate focused on defining your transformation approach to unleash the full potential in an age of unprecedented industry change.
Consumers rule the world — they are ubiquitously connected, crave individuality, and are intolerant of complexity and latency. We’re entering an age of ultra-convenience in retail, where consumers want the easiest journey possible. IDC predicts that over the next decade, 90% of the manufacturing industry growth will be captured by those companies that successfully engage directly with consumers.
The consumer products ecosystem and competitive environment is changing. Of the $35 billion in net growth over the past three years, only $1 billion has come from traditional, large enterprise players. Going forward, the 4th industrial revolution will bring new challenges and opportunities for consumer product companies.
Consumer products and retail leaders determined to disrupt and create sustainable competitive advantage will engage digital transformation, requiring executive leadership to recognise how their business models and their enabling processes must change, fundamentally. However, IDC predicts that by 2018, only 30% of retail and consumer products companies investing in digital transformation will be able to maximise the outcome; the rest will be held back by inflexible and outdated business models, processes and technology.
Some of the key questions we'll explore around interactive roundtables over dinner will be:
• How do you engage the digital consumer? How can you leverage customer insight to compete with rapidly growing startups?
• Can collaboration and co-creation drive new competitive advantage across retail and consumer products while elevating brand equity?
• How can consumer products and retail companies address the productivity gap? What is the potential to improve with digital transformation?
• What are the tangible benefits of digital supply chain? How do I take cost out?
• What is the right technology platform to enable consumer options and sustain growth over the next decade?
We hope to see you on the 26th April! There are a limited number of complimentary seats available so please register your interest as soon as possible.
