Christine Bardwell
Research Manager Retail Insights
IDC

In this position, she manages IDC Retail Insights' research in for the retail store, channel and consumer strategies program. She also provides consulting and advisory support to retail end-user organizations, as well as to IT vendors serving the retail industry.

Bardwell has developed extensive insight into retail technologies, but specifically consumer facing technologies used by retailers, both instore and online. She is an expert in eCommerce and mCommerce markets and technologies, as well as social shopping and augmented reality. Her specialist knowledge also extends to back-end systems and an understanding of multichannel retail processes, technologies and integration.

Bardwell regularly speaks at industry events and contributes to the Customer Experience blog on the IDC Retail Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/retail) and has a large and established industry following on Twitter (@C_Bardwell). She is also a regular addition to industry awards judging panels.

Bardwell has nearly 10 years' experience researching the technology sector in Europe. Prior to joining IDC, she worked as a senior analyst managing the retail technology research stream for Ovum, (part of the Datamonitor Group), and as a research manager for IT Europa.

Ad Arreman, VP International Sales, Adyen


Ad is part of the commercial team at Adyen. He started his career at the first online stockbroker in the Netherlands where he held various positions within sales and marketing. After a position as recruitment consultant for the payments industry he chose to join Adyen and currently his focus is on mid and large retailers to provide payment solutions to international ecommerce.


Lee Bonham, Solution Architect, UC4 UK, Ireland & Asia Pacific

Lee Bonham has over 12 years experience in Operational IT and Business Optimisation within Europe, Middle East, Africa and the the USA. With a background in Business Information Systems and Business Process Management he has a wide knowledge of how BPA can deliver for organisations in verticals such as Retail, Finance and Telecommunications.  Mr Bonham is currently the Principle Solution Architect for UKI, Nordics, Middle East and APAC.

 

David Hogg
, Commerce Solutions Executive,  IBM®.

David joined Sterling Commerce in 2006 and was responsible for supporting Retail / CPG initiatives in Europe, Middle East and Africa.   David has taken on a global role since IBM acquired Sterling Commerce in 2011.

David has extensive understanding and experience of the global retail industry having spent his entire career buying and selling retail solutions. He worked for ASDA, Woolworths and Eatons before transitioning to software sales roles. He has held senior positions with vendors including Kewill Systems, and prior to joining Sterling Commerce at Transora (1Sync), where he was the Director of Business Development for Europe.

In his previous role at Transora, David created the company's business strategy to penetrate the European market and to grow business with key customers including Proctor & Gamble, Colgate Palmolive, Unilever, Carrefour, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ahold, Delhaize and Coop Italia. David has presented at many seminars throughout Europe and Asia Pacific. He currently sits on the GDS adoption Committee of GS1UK and is involved in the Global Upstream Supply Initiative. He holds a BSc in Computing Science and Engineering from the University of Stirling, Scotland.

Matt Jeffers, International Development Manager, Tesco

 Matt Jeffers is International Development Manager at Tesco and is responsible for developing the internet strategy, customer proposition and operations for Tesco in their international countries - with particular focus on Asia.  Responsibility for developing all aspects of commercial ranging, supply chain, finance, web platform and marketing development.




Ivano Ortis

 In this position, he manages IDC Retail Insights across EMEA and Asia Pacific, and provides research, consulting and advisory services to retail end-user organizations as well as to IT vendors serving the retail sector.

Mr. Ortis provides extensive insights into the retail industry, and support leading retail organizations in driving process optimization, change management, and ICT-enabled transformations across geographies and retail segments. His solid industry expertise, business and IT background, enables retailers – as well as technology vendors - to merge industry dynamics, business requirements, and technology directions.

Mr.Ortis regularly contributes to the Customer Experience blog on the IDC Retail Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/retail) and tweets (@ivanoortis) about business and IT issues relevant to the retail sector.

Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Ortis worked with Fiat Telematic Services as a multi-channel business program manager, Nokia as a technology sourcing manager for consumer products, Vodafone as a retail enterprise sales engineer, Andersen Consulting as a senior retail technology analyst, Intersil/Harris semiconductor as an IT consultant and Feltrinelli as store associate.

During 2003 and 2004 he also actively participated in the SIP Forum Marketing Working Group.

Mr. Ortis has a masters in telecommunication engineering from the Politecnico University in Milan.
