Welcome to IDEA's 27th Annual Campus Energy Conference in Atlanta, Georgia
This IDEA conference titled, "Clean, Efficient & Resilient Energy," will feature discussions on how campus energy systems provide highly efficient, sustainable and reliable energy services supporting mission critical operations on college, university, healthcare campuses and military bases while also strengthening the local economy by cutting emissions and reducing strain on the regional power grid.
The IDEA Campus Energy Conference has a long tradition of bringing together end-users, business partners, consulting engineers, military, hospital and campus energy managers, sustainability directors and energy policy makers to advance and share best practices. Our nation's colleges and universities are recognized as leaders in investment and innovation in clean district energy/CHP microgrids. Come and learn from their success.
The annual IDEA Campus Energy Conference fosters collegial peer exchange between a broad range of industry professionals who design, build, maintain, operate and optimize district energy systems to meet challenging economic and efficiency targets, surpass regulatory and reliability requirements and achieve laudable sustainability objectives.
NOTE: CEUs are available for attendees through the University of Iowa. Forms will be made available at the registration desk during the conference. Attendees are eligible for up to 3.0 CEUs for attending one Workshop, the full Conference and Technical Tour pending final review and approval from University of Iowa.
I found the IDEA conference participants to be very willing to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices with one and other. In addition to attending the educational sessions, I was also able to make many personal contacts throughout our industry.—Mark St. Onge, University of Arizona (IDEA's 26th Annual Campus Energy Conference, 2013)

Since its founding in 1909, IDEA has been "Informing, Connecting and Advancing" the global district energy industry. Today, nearly 2000 IDEA members from 25 different countries are converging on the simple fact that district energy infrastructure delivers higher energy efficiency with greater reliability and lower CO2 emissions from clean, local energy resources.
"IDEA provides a unique forum for our clients to recognize opportunities for increasing energy efficiency and brings together the resources to accomplish such improvements. IDEA helps people make informed decisions and stay alert to trends in central plant operations and design."
