The Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA) is a global, independent, non-profit, professional association dedicated to increasing the level of professionalism, knowledge, and visibility of insurance data management through education, research, forums, and peer-to-peer networking.

We are seeking proposals for conference sessions (up to one hour in duration) that focus on case studies, lessons learned, success stories, strategies, industry practices, human talent and skill sets, and emerging tools and technologies related to enterprise data governance/management within the insurance industry.

Presentation proposals are currently being accepted for the IDMA 2018 Annual Conference “Bridging Today’s Data with Tomorrow’s Opportunities”, scheduled for April 29 – May 1, 2018 at the Doubletree Philadelphia Center City Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Content leaders and industry experts will gather to discuss an array of carefully curated topics and interests focused on relevant and hot-issues surrounding data management. As much and as fast as organizational data needs change, the foundational principles of data management must evolve and prevail to guarantee success. Whether you are a new or experienced data manager you are constantly confronted with issues regarding acquiring, validating, storing, protecting, and processing data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data to your stakeholders. Join us in Philadelphia for IDMA’s 2018 Annual Conference to discover new approaches to bridge today’s data with tomorrow’s opportunities. We will focus on innovative strategies encompassing leadership, analytics, governance, content management, mobility, connectivity, security, and other operational matters to help you get ahead of the data management curve. IDMA also offers the opportunity to learn what you need to know to improve compliance and regulatory reporting. If you think you have all the answers, you may not have listened hard enough to the questions.   • Emerging Technologies / Big Data / Analytics (The latest technologies that directly impact how data managers and insurance professionals do their jobs. This includes, but not limited to: Data Visualization, IoT, Telematics, Driverless cars, Drones, Machine Learning, etc…)
  • Claims Management (Techniques and best practices for managing insurance and non-insured claims.)
  • Cyber Risk Management (The latest in cyber security and the digital risks facing today’s organizations, as well as techniques to cope with this fast-changing arena.)
  • Compliance and Regulatory Issues (The latest information and analysis on compliance and regulations, both domestic and foreign that affect insurance data management practices.)
  • Professional Development / Attracting the Next Generation of Data Managers (The human talent necessary to take advantage of Big Data, Response by academia to the need for business analysts and data scientists, Evolution of curriculum content, Future trends in big data education, etc…)

Important Notice: Presentations that reflect real-world experience and those with insurer or producer representation will receive priority consideration.
