Haemodynamic Echocardiography Assessment in Real Time: iHeartScan™
AudienceThis workshop is designed for General Practitioners, Anaesthetists, Intensive Care, Emergency Department Physicians and Surgeons who wish to learn how to use Point-of-Care (POC) transthoracic ultrasound.Overview
The iHeartScan™ workshops are aimed at extending your experience and training in transthoracic echocardiography. They can save lives, time and money by performing a heart ultrasound in your own practice. GPs can learn how to pick up heart conditions that may have been too difficult to diagnose with a stethoscope, and quickly identify patients in need of management decisions without the help of pathology.Participants will begin by completing the eLearning component prior to the workshop, which consists of a series of tutorials and case studies focusing on transthoracic echocardiography. Their knowledge is then reinforced with a hands-on workshop and demonstration where, under the guidance of an experienced ultrasound trainer, participants will have the opportunity to practise transthoracic ultrasound on live models.
