
The Transportation Research Board (TRB), with the support of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration is organizing a conference is to identify key knowledge gaps, develop a research agenda, inform transportation policy, and identify promising initiatives for university research. Papers and deliberations will relate to the potential impacts on transportation in the next 20 years from four demographic forces, the priority themes of the conference:
• Aging and Demographic Transition;
• Immigration Internally and from Abroad;
• Changing Racial and Ethnic Mix; and
• Gender Differences.
The planning team is particularly interested in the impacts of these demographic forces on (a) the transportation workforce, (b) transportation system demand, and (c) safe mobility.
The registration fee includes all sessions, workshops, continental breakfast each morning, and Sunday Evening Welcome Reception.
