Effective prioritization is one of the most significant problems facing the information security and technology risk management professions.
In this workshop, you will learn concepts and methods that have proven to significantly improve an organization’s ability to prioritize its risk landscape.
In additional to this foundational information, you will learn and practice techniques to estimate values effectively – even when working with little data and high degrees of uncertainty – and clearly scope analyses to minimize the potential for “religious” disagreements on risk ratings.
Finally, you will be guided through the process of applying what you’ve learned to analyze one or more risk scenarios.
Come to this class if you’re curious about how to improve risk analysis or have questions about how to use the open standard Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR), or whether it’s even a practical approach.
