INSA is pleased to announce that the Honorable James B. Comey Jr., Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), will be the guest of honor and speaker at a leadership dinner on March 29, 2017, at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Director Comey will speak to the strategic importance of the FBI's role within the Intelligence Community (IC) and his vision for the Bureau in 2017 and beyond. Following dinner, Director Comey will participate in a discussion moderated by former National Counterterrorism Center Director Michael Leiter on his key priorities and challenges at the FBI, as well as take questions submitted by the audience.

Sworn in as the FBI's seventh director in September 2013, Director Comey has been instrumental to the continued integration of domestic law enforcement activities with foreign intelligence conducted by IC partners. He elevated the FBI's Intelligence Branch to the level of executive assistant director in 2014.
Director Comey's career of public service at the U.S. Department of Justice spans three decades, beginning in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. He served as Deputy U.S. Attorney General from December 2003-August 2005. In the private sector, Director Comey served as general counsel and senior vice president for Lockheed Martin from 2005-2010 and then as general counsel for Bridgewater Associates prior to returning to public service.
