Quality & Customer Service Manager Mercury Marine
Every year at ASQ's annual World Conference on Quality and Improvement, the International Team Excellence Award (ITEA) process recognizes and celebrates high performance teams who epitomize the ASQ vision of a global community using “quality concepts, technology, or tools to improve themselves and their world”. While the process is more visible to the Quality Community at the World Conference, the teams’ engagement starts well in advance of this event. The ITEA criteria provide a framework within which teams can more successfully conduct projects, and these criteria are used to assess team projects based on engagement, continuous improvement & project management. The ITEA framework consists of five project formatted sections and a sixth section that deals with the team’s presentation.
1. Project and Team Selection
2. Current Situation and Root Cause/Improvement Opportunity Analysis
3. Solution/Improvement Development
4. Implementation and Results Verification
5. Sustaining and Communicating Results
6. Overall Presentation
