This course will provide an overview of the ICD-10 as it relates to Mental Health and Behavioral Disorders. It will include a brief ICD history, what ICD-10 is comprised of and important coding facts/rules for Pacific Clinics staff. The Pacific Clinics ICD-10/DSM-5 transition plan will be addressed as well as where to locate ICD-10-CM codes. The course will highlight important diagnostic and coding instructions in the most commonly used DSM-5 categories for Pacific Clinics Clinical Staff. In addition, information will be provided as to how this impacts clinical documentation.
