Introduction to mental health in the learning environment
Mental health is important for productive, meaningful teaching and learning. Mental illness can undermine the performance potential of colleagues and students. It matters that as educators we have practical strategies for offering them appropriate support.
This workshop is led by a practitioner who understands mental illness in education contexts. We explore concepts of mental health and how mental illness can deplete personal work and study resources. A primary focus is to build practical skills we can call on to support teachers and students confronting mental illness.
