Mintz Levin is pleased to announce that the firm will hold a two-week IP Summer Academy in Boston, Massachusetts, July 10 through July 21, 2017.
Presented by a team of attorneys with nearly a decade of experience developing and teaching the course's materials, this program is designed expressly for international patent practitioners and provides an excellent overview of all aspects of US patent prosecution and litigation. The IP Summer Academy leads students through topics including recent changes and developments in IP law; practical approaches for preparing, prosecuting, and enforcing patents; how to overcome USPTO rejections; litigation discovery; and patent trial preparation and procedures. Highlights of the learning experience include a mock USPTO examiner interview as well as a mock trial conducted at the US District Court of Massachusetts, including a pre-trial licensing negotiation session.
Attendees are also invited to participate in hosted excursions to sites in and around Boston. Together we'll explore local museums, universities, and historic landmarks and attend a Red Sox baseball game at Boston's Fenway Park. These experiences, along with some free time, provide opportunities to appreciate the city's attractions and American culture.
Tuition is $1,300 USD and includes ten days of instruction.
Also included are breakfast on each instruction day as well as some lunches, dinners and recreational activities.
Travel and hotel costs are additional and are the responsibility of the attendee.
