Open House - Welcome CocktailWe’re looking forward to a program packed with open-minded discussion at this year’s ISO Week. And, if you’ve already arrived in Berlin, then what better way to start than with DIN’s informal get-together. Open to all ISO Week participants, and their guests, please join our open house on Sunday evening to enjoy a drink and light snack together.
Place of the cocktail: DIN, Budapester Str. 31
Information sessions for attendee’s guestsAll guests of ISO Week attendees who would like to socialize are invited to get together on both Tuesday and Wednesday morning (meeting point at the foyer InterContinental Hotel). A DIN employee will provide more information on tours and answer any questions you may have.
Welcome receptionOffering you the opportunity to network before the start of the General Assembly a welcome reception for attendees and their guests will be held on the evening of Tuesday, 19 September, at Große Orangerie – Charlottenburg Palace. Built in 1712, the Palace was designed as a place for elegant court-parties. Today, it combines the elegance of past centuries with all the amenities of modern life. Enjoy a selection of drinks and delicacies from Germany and around the world in the unique ambience of this beautiful palace. Leaving from the Intercontinental Hotel, a special bus has been organized to transport guests to and from the Palace (15 min travel time).
Golden dinnerA dinner for participants and their guests will be held on the evening of Thursday, 21 September, at the WECC (Westhafen Event and Convention Center). The convention center is set in an old storage harbor, and combines the charm of old cobble-stone walls with sophisticated, modern technology. Built during the golden twenties, the era also inspires our theme for the evening. By the way: It was in these buildings, during the 1920s, that Ford started its activities in Germany, assembling the first Model T (Tin Lizzy) from imported parts. Impossible without standards! Dive into the golden twenties with us as we take you on a journey into this special decade. The fun begins straight after the GA meeting, with a boat cruise that takes you directly to the evening venue. Passing by important sights of Berlin, refreshments and finger food will be served while having a chat with other passengers on board (2 h travel time). At WECC you can go on experiencing some of the moods of the twenties. A special bus will take you back to the Intercontinental Hotel after the dinner (20 min travel time).
Open End - Closing cocktailAt the end of an open minded ISO Week in Germany, and following the open session tours in Berlin, there will be a final opportunity for all participants to reflect on the past days, meeting at DIN for refreshments before travelling on.
