Ambassador John Negroponte to Keynote at ISOA Summit
The International Stability Operations Association is pleased to announce that Ambassador John Negroponte will deliver a keynote address at the 2012 ISOA Annual Summit, to take place at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on 15-17 October 2012. Ambassador Negroponte has nearly 50 years of public service. Before his role as the Deputy Secretary of State from 2007-2009, Ambassador Negroponte was appointed the first Director of National Intelligence, which he held from 2005-2007. He has served as the United States Ambassador to Iraq, Mexico and Honduras. Ambassador Negroponte was appointed as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush from 2001-2004.

US Special Envoy to South Sudan and Sudan to Keynote at ISOA Summit The International Stability Operations Association is pleased to announce that Ambassador Princeton Lyman, United States Special Envoy to South Sudan and Sudan, will deliver a keynote address at the 2012 ISOA Annual Summit, to take place at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on 15-17 October 2012.
Ambassador Lyman has served as the Special Envoy to South Sudan and Sudan since 2011. He formerly served as the Senior Advisor on North-South Negotiations where his leadership of the U.S. team assisted in Sudan’s Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005. Ambassador Lyman’s previous assignments include Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Director of Refugee Programs, U.S. Ambassador to South Africa, as well as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs. UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations to Keynote ISOA Summit
The International Stability Operations Association is pleased to announce that Edmond Mulet, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, will deliver a keynote address at the 2012 ISOA Annual Summit, to take place at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on 15-17 October 2012.
Edmond Mulet served as the Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations from 2007 to 2010 and was reappointed to the position in 2011. From 2010 to 2011, he was appointed by Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon as Special Representative and Head of the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). Prior to his work with the UN, Mr. Mulet served as the Guatemalan Ambassador to the European Union and the United States.

ISOA Announces Annual Summit Chair, Former Ambassador David Litt
The International Stability Operations Association is pleased to announce that Ambassador David C. Litt (ret.) will Chair the 2012 ISOA Annual Summit taking place at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on 15-17 October 2012.
Ambassador Litt served for 34 years as a career U.S. diplomat, specializing in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Currently, Ambassador Litt is the Executive Director of the Center for Stabilization and Economic Reconstruction, of the Institute for Defense and Business.
