Via our lobbyist and Legislative and Public Policy (LPP) Committee, NCSPA monitors legislation that can have a great impact on school psychologists. Our NCSPA lobbyist represents you and your professional interests before the General Assembly. They also provide frequent legislative updates to keep members informed of critical issues that have an impact on school psychology and services to children.
NCSPA has eight Regional Representatives representing four regions. They act as liaisons between the Executive Board and regional members. Regional Representatives facilitate communications between local professionals, coordinate local workshops and represent local needs to the association.
NCSPA public relations efforts are designed to promote understanding and support for the profession of school psychology. We work to target information to specific groups and audiences including legislators, media representatives, school administrators, parents, and teachers about the profession of school psychology’s valuable contribution to the educational process and to mental health services. Join our collective voice professional concerns and dissemination of information.
NCSPA encourages members to become involved with a committee or as an Executive Board Member. While serving as a board member you have the opportunity to learn many new skills and you can earn Continuing Education credit toward your NCSP. You are always invited to attend board meetings and/or contact your regional representative with questions, comments, or concerns. You can always e-mail us email@example.com.
