Just the facts: Truth and Ethics Across Earned and Paid Channels Evening Panel

Event Summary

September is national ethics month for PRSA, and we welcome a diverse and dynamic panel including Charlie Meyerson, award-winning Chicago-based journalist and editor, Alice Oglethorpe, top-tier, Chicago-based freelance writer, and Phil Rogers, general assignment reporter for WMAQ-TV, the NBC owned television station in Chicago, to tackle the ethical challenges our shared professions face. Conversation topics will include conflicts of interest for the freelancer and contributor as well as editorial and free speech protections, influencers and integrity, incentives and fact checking as staffs on all sides of earned and paid channels continue to shrink and consolidate.
