Peter head shot_2010_webOur third and final session of this year's 2030 & Beyond Series will feature Peter Yost, who has presented for us twice before to rave reviews.
This year's workshop will build on the content of the 2030 & Beyond Series, but is appropriate for new attendees as well. It will cover the complexity and variability of today's residential building enclosures, in their design, specification, and construction, moving quickly from the basic principles of hygrothermics (how heat and moisture move on, in, and through our assemblies) to the techniques to evaluate conventional and alternative enclosure systems. Participants will learn techniques from projects Peter has worked on recently, and then employ them in their own projects.

Principal and Vice President - Technical Services with BuildingGreen, Inc., Peter has been building, researching, teaching, writing, and consulting on high performance homes for more than twenty-five years. His expertise stretches from construction waste management and advanced framing to energy efficiency and building durability. Currently he is a lecturer in Yale University’s Graduate School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, an instructor for the Boston Architectural College's Sustainable Design Certificate program, USGBC LEED faculty, and an adjunct faculty member of the University of Massachusetts Department of Building Materials and Wood Technology program in Amherst.
