Winery Registration

We're excited to announce that Washington State Wine has been selected as this year's "Region of Honour" at the 2017 La Grande Dégustation de Montréal. The story of the Washington State wine region is growing in the Quebec Province Canada, so much so that last year, in October, the monopoly buying powers (the SAQ) came to Washington State in search of more Washington wines to offer to the people of Quebec. From this visit we have tripled the number of Washington State wines in the General List and had a large uptick in orders at the Specialties level as well.

Following the success of this visit, the SAQ sponsored trade show, La Grande Dégustation de Montréal operated by AQAVBS which serves as a liaison between agencies and the SAQ has named Washington State as the "Region of Honour" for their 2017 show!

Unlike most trade shows, only the two honored regions are given space by region, while all other wineries are represented at their own agency booth (please contact Doug Marshall for more details or questions about what this means). Additionally, Washington State Wine is being given complementary access to advertising opportunities, seminars at the event and to the monopoly buying powers of the region.

We are pleased to invite you to join Washington State Wine during this exciting time as a participating winery in the regional booth at La Grande Dégustation de Montréal this coming November.

Requirements: Must have an active relationship with an agency within the Quebec province ready to import wine for this show via SAQ purchase or private import and attend in person alongside a winery representative. Please, communicate with your agent and feel free to connect them with Doug Marshall at dmarshall@washingtonwine.orgYour agent in the SAQ must register your winery on your behalf to participate in this event before the deadline in mid-June.
