Here is a preview of some sessions under development:

  • Harnessing the Power of Learning Analytics in Graduate Online Education
    • This session will highlight the essential role that learning analytics has in guiding meaningful curriculum innovation facilitated by an expert team of faculty, learning designers, learning analysts, and teaching support specialists. We will share how this Creative Team has transformed learning analytics into a purposeful course innovation map that aligns with the Program’s mission.
  • The Future of Work and Implications for MBA Programs
    • Companies and other organizations hire our students.  Let’s hear from employers about the trends they are seeing in their needs in the talent they are hiring from our programs.
  • Shifting MBA Student Career Goals and its Impact on The Business School
    • MBA student career goals are shifting. Learn how some schools are meeting the needs of their students new career goals.
  • Enhancing the Part-Time Student Experience by Providing Targeted Student Services
    • As more and more part-time students demand student services during their programs, how are schools responding? Come learn how some schools have created models and delivery systems that are most effective for the part-timer.
  • The Importance of the Emotionally Intelligent MBA student
    • During this session, participants will learn key steps to building stronger emotional intelligence in themselves as well as instilling it in their students. The facilitator and participants will share best practices from their own programs and discuss ways in which we could all improve our service to students.
  • Building a Culture of Net Investors in the MBA Program
    • At the W.P. Carey School of Business, we have worked hard to create an environment where MBA students give more than they take, have a sense of gratitude, assume ownership of program outcomes, and embrace the role of brand ambassador upon graduation. Come explore the specific initiatives launched to achieve the ideal culture, an evaluation of what worked and what did not, and the impact this has had on both MBAs and the School.
  • Civility, Character, Cooperation and the MBA Student
    • Students must learn how to conduct civil discussions and how to disagree respectfully with others. In this panel discussion, you"ll learn how MBA programs are teaching ethics, civility and principled achievement so their students will interact, communicate and disagree with respect.
  • Adapting to the changing landscape of GME: What’s next?
    • Graduate management education is experiencing challenges and opportunities with changing enrollment, diversification in portfolio options, classroom dynamics, culture, and candidate demand for flexibility.  All these changes impact the number of candidates applying, admissions processes, cohort selection, retention, placement, faculty and the entire program experience.  Join us for an open conversation with your peers on the challenges that impact admissions and the impacts once students begin a program. Learn from each other and contribute to a roadmap discussion on short-term and long-term solutions to address the different challenges. Each participant will take way ideas and strategies to build a 3-5-year roadmap.
  • Keeping Pace:  Insights and Resources for the Future of Part-Time MBA Programs
    • "Long a staple of US graduate management education, part-time MBA programs have experienced stagnant demand over the past decade.   Since the Great Recession, there has not been a year when the majority of US part-time MBA programs reported year-on-year application volume growth.  During this session, using industry trends, we explore this apparent stagnation; highlight shifting candidate needs and approaches some programs have taken to innovate; evaluate the current part-time MBA value proposition; and identify opportunities and strategies for programs to stay relevant and plan for their programs’ sustainable futures. This session will also highlight a few GMAC resources to help your school identify, recruit, and assess talent, and provide an update on the Executive Assessment.   Since its launch in 2016, the Executive Assessment has been adopted by more than 170 programs at over 80 schools globally, including nearly 30 part-time MBA programs.  Panelists will provide insights on the challenges they currently face at their schools and the GMAC insights and resources they are leveraging to address those challenges.
  • Findings from the GMAC Undergraduate Student Survey
    • "In October 2019, GMAC launched their first survey specifically targeted at undergraduate students.  The goals were to:  Understand what UGs want to do after they've graduated (or if they even know it); Understand attitudes towards all further study, not just GME; Explore expectations of further study, why they want to do it, and what they want to achieve; Identify influencers and resources.  During this session we’ll explore the findings and identify action items for schools seeking to attract this segment.
