Good mentoring relationships are linked to successful socialization, creating opportunities for promotion, improving job satisfaction, and increasing self-confidence. A recent Catalyst report (June 2012) indicates that women who have been mentored are more likely to “pay it forward,” and that mentoring others increases the prospects for career advancement and higher compensation. As part of the Leadership Tools for Women Conference Series, this conference focuses on development of sustainable mentoring relations. Conference participants will identify strengths and weaknesses in working with mentors and mentees, develop personal strategies for success, and network with other women to share knowledge, experience, and skills in mentoring.
